Intensive Outpatient Services

If your teen is in crisis and other services haven’t been effective, our IOS program can help. Our daily therapy and schooling are tailored to your child’s needs, allowing them to heal while living at home.

The Intensive Outpatient Services program serves teens aged 12 to 17 who are at risk of hospitalization, out-of-home placement, or who have recently been returned from out-of-home placement due to a family crisis or severe emotional and/or behavioral challenges.

Reasons why teens come to IOS:

  • Treatment with less restrictive services was tried but wasn’t effective.
  • The teen or their family don’t have the resources or skills to cope with an immediate crisis.
  • The teen has become unmanageable in a school-based or behavior services setting.
  • The teen is placed out-of-home and will soon be reunited with their family.

Teens in IOS suffer a wide range of issues:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • History of trauma
  • Bipolar disorder
  • School or academic problems
  • Grief or loss
  • Physical aggression
  • Anger management problems
  • Peer problems
  • Family conflict or divorce
  • Sexual and/or physical abuse
  • Misbehavior at home or school
